time what many aspire to achieve in a lifetime. Everything she touched turned to Gold. She could make a simple melody sound
so heavenly and maybe it was because of her gospel roots or the fact that she came from musical royalty. Or maybe just
maybe as she said in her own words, "She was a child of God" and really it was that simple God had given her
a gift like no other. And with that gift she blessed us and gave us hope.
Many will ponder on the causes
of her death and the events leading up to her demise. But in the end none of that will matter, only that she was
a mother, a daughter, a niece, a friend, an encourager to others and a shining star. Rest in peace Whitney "We

Don Cornelius Found Dead
Television
Pioneer, Don Cornelius was found dead at 4am this morning stemming from a gun shot wound to the head. The wound appeared
self inflicted and the popular entertainer was pronounced dead at the scene. The popular creator and host of
Soul Train change the landscape of television with his all black dance & music platform. Soul Train aired from
1971 to 2006. Cornelius was 75.

Etta James has died at the age of 73 after battling leukemia. She was
an icon and a superstar. Her distinctive voice earned her fans everywhere. She will forever be known for her classic hits

Ring in the Holidays with Engagements!
From singers John Legend and Aretha Franklin as well as
NBA star, LeBron James love was the gift for the Holidays. R&B singer John Legend brought in the Christmas Holidays by
getting engaged to his girlfriend and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, Chrissy Tiegen. The two have been dating since 2007
and Legend proposed on Christmas day. The couple seen over New Years was still glowing from the news.
The Queen of Soul had fun with her engagement
announcing that, "Yes she was engaged but no she was not pregnant!" Franklin got engaged to her longtime partner,
William "Willie" Wilkerson. The two who have appeared together on numerous red carpets and magazines have been
an item since the 80's. Wilkerson and Franklin met at a signing in Detroit and have been together ever since. The two
are looking forward to a summer wedding.
We knew it wouldn't be long before Miami Heat star; LeBron James
would make Savannah Brinson his wife. In LeBron style the basketball star asked the mother of his kids, LeBron Jr. 7
and Bryce 4 to be his wife on New Year's Eve. The two got engaged at a birthday dinner for LeBron, hosted
by his teammate Dwayne Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union. Lebron surprised Brinson by getting down on one knee in front
of friends and family and proposing. Savannah and LeBron are childhood sweethearts. Congrats
to all the couples.

If you didn't catch Monday's episode
of Love & Hip Hop no worry the internet is in a flutter. In a scene that caught us all off guard, Jim Jones flew to Miami
after his woman to ask her hand in marriage then the show went off. What!?! They just left us hanging. After all of Chrissy's
nagging, pleading and proposing to Jim it took her to fly off to Miami with Olivia and Emily to get away from all the drama
for rapper, Jim Jones to pony up and propose. We now hope that now Chrissy will be happy, sit down and leave everyone else
alone. Somehow we doubt that this engagement will make Chrissy a happier person but we can only hope.
 Kobe Bryant's Wife Vanessa files for Divorce
Word
has it that after many years of cheating by the NBA Superstar his wife of 10 years Vanessa Bryant had enough. According to
friends Vanessa was aware of the Laker's star cheating ways but had taken him back numerous times but the final straw
came when she found out he was cheating during the NBA lock-out. According to Vanessa's stepfather the final straw came
once the couple hit their 10 year anniversary mark. (Hmmmm) Apparently in California the spouse is entitled to spousal suuport
for life after ten years of marriage or in the case if Vanessa would ever remarry. Kobe for his part has begged for his
wife not to file but looks like her mind is made up and the couple have already worked out the details of the split. (Wow)
Since the two did not have a prenup (What?!?) Mrs. Kobe Bryant is looking like a cool $100 million in the split! (Merry Christmas
to me!) We are just saying she just won the lottery!!!!

Media Outlets were abuzz after In Touch
Magazine released a story that A-list Stars, Will & Jada Smith had separated. To add more fuel to the fire then rumors
started flying that at the cause of the split was Jada's Hawthorne co-star, singer Marc Anthony who recently separated
from his wife, Jennifer Lopez. Immediately, Will Smith's son Trey from his first marriage took to Twitter to deny the
reports! Then came denials from Marc Anthony's camp on his involvement in the whole ordeal. The Smiths' s who normally
don't respond to media reports & rumors had no choice but to also come out and deny the stories for the sake of their
family & friends.
In Touch who is notorious for coming out with the "big ones' fabricated stories
that is really took their 15 minutes of fame and ran with it. There were no follow-ups or additional comments from In Touch
after the firestorm they caused. Which is why we seem to think there is nothing to the story because of course they would
have a follow-up to the big breaking news. None, silence!
We can only hope that there is no hair of truth to this
story because in deed it would be a sad day to see one of our great couples split. They remind us of another beloved couple...Ruby

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Split after 7 years of Marriage
Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony
have called it quits after seven years of marriage and
twins. The two were married after Jennifer very public
breakup with actor, Ben Affleck and in the middle
of Anthony's divorce from his first wife. It seemed
that Lopez had finally found her prince charming and
the two seemed happy. The couple initially dated back in
the early 90's before Lopez met Sean 'Diddy'
Combs. This was Lopez's third marriage. We wish the
couple the best especially for the children's sake.

Dallas Cowboy's Player, Michael Irvin Covers "Out" Magazine
Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and analysts, Michael Irvin is sparking much
talk after appearing on the latest cover of "Out" Magazine. The magazine that is geared towards gays and lesbians
is notorious for putting straight celebrities on its cover. Irvin opens up about realizing his brother was gay when he saw
him out on the streets in women's clothing. He also admitted that the revelation led him to become a womanizer afraid
that it (being gay) might be genetic but later embracing and supporting his brother. You tell us was this a good look
for the NFL's channel analyst or not.  Beyonce's Dad Matthew Knowles sues Live Nation Rep for Defamation

to Mega Star, Beyonce filed suit against a former Live Nation executive who know manages Beyonce. According to father Knowles
the said rep convinced Beyonce to have her lawyers conduct an audit of her business interests to convince the singer that
he had stolen money from his daughter. Apparently Beyonce must have agreed because she eventually fired her dad and hired
the former Live Nation rep. Knowles has also asked the courts to allow him to seek depositions for other Live Nation employees
to see how they came to their accusations against him. He has adamantly denied the cheating allegations and is suing for defamation
of character. I Weekly also doubts the allegations but it might be hard thing to prove. It's all really too bad
as the two had a great business relationship that did not interfere with their personal relationship. We hope they work it
out.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ Hines Ward Arrested for DUI
Dancing with the Stars Champ and NFL
wide receiver was arrested over the weekend on DUI charges after leaving an area Atlanta club. According to police
reports Hines failed a sobriety test and smelled strongly of alcohol. The wide receiver reportedly told police that he had
2 beers earlier in the night. Police initially pulled him over for swerving into another lane and hitting a curb in his Aston
Martin. After failing the test the NFL player was arrested and booked into a Dekalb County jail. Ward is set to appear in
court on Oct 6 to fight the charges.
