Fantasia Recuperating after Suicide Attempt
Former American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino overdosed on a cocktail of sleeping
pills and aspirin on Monday night. The R&B singer was under extreme stress after receiving court documents from Paula
Cook the wife of Barrino's current boyfriend Antwan Cook. According sources Fantasia had no clue that Antwan Cook was married.
Apparently he had the singer believing that him and his wife were separated and divorcing which was a surprise to his wife.
After months of Barrino romancing and flying Cook around the world his wife Paula finally had it and slapped Barrino with
papers claiming she broke up the Cook's marriage. Remember North Carolina is famous for the wife who slapped a mistress with
a $1 million dollar lawsuit and won for breaking up her then marriage. Now keep in mind the fact that Cook was married and
the wife was disgruntle over the cheating was not a secret. The mess has been on every blog and the only damage control from
Fantasia was that her and Cook were friends and some days they were together. Then to prove the point they were just friends
she got his name tattooed on her body. What?! But now that the wife is no longer playing their game and served Fantasia with
papers now Fantasia decides to be shocked and overwhelmed. Whew! Although Fantasia was “dead wrong” we do
feel bad for her. We hope that she gets rest and is able to get back on her feet. In the meantime, she needs to surround herself
with a good team that will take care of this kind of stuff before it blows up in her face as it did. And just a word of advice
Fantasia next time you meet a married guy and he says he is divorcing get copies of the papers! No papers No Deal! End of
Story!

Daughter of Laurence Fishburne Becomes Porn
Star
Montana Fishburne, 19 had made her Hollywood debut this week when she released
her first porn flick with Vivid Entertainment. You will remember Vivid is the same company that distributed leaked videos
on Kim Kardashian and Pamela Anderson. Speaking of Kardashian, Montana explains that the reality star was her inspiration
to pursue her dream of being an adult entertainment star. According to Fishburne she has been thinking about it since she
was 16. Wow that is young to aspire to be an adult film star. Daddy Fishburne is none too pleased as reports have come
out that the two are not speaking. Friends of Fishburne have come out in support of the actor during this difficult time
as a father. We feel for Fishburne because it has to be hard when you do all you can for your kids and they go off and make
life decisions that you don't understand. Wow! We wish them luck.

Television Show "Are We There Yet" A Hit for TBS
It seems like TBS has another hit on their hands with "Are We There Yet". The
comedy derived from the hit movie of the same name that starred Ice Cube who is an executive producer for the show has
won over fans in it's first week. Sandwiched in between Tyler Perry's “House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns”,
Are We There yet is the perfect meat. All the reviews, water cooler talk and the feedback from readers are that the show is
great. We previewed the shows last week and we have to agree we too think it's a hit. It was funny, cute and dealt with every
day issues we all deal with. The writing headed up by Ali LeRoi from "The Chris Rock show" and "Everybody Hates Chris"
fame is solid. As always Terry Crews as Nick delivers (we love Crews!) and Essence Atkins is a great addition as Suzanne.
Are We There Yet will continue to broadcast back to back episodes on Wednesday's at 9pm and 9:30pm on TBS.

Janet Jackson Headlines the Essence Music Festival with
Alicia Keyes & Mary J. Blige
Essence celebrates its 40th Anniversary big this year by having some of the
biggest acts in the music business perform at this years Essence Music Festival. Janet Jackson will make her first ever appearance
at this years show and will headline the event on Friday, July 2nd. Saturday night's highlights are Alicia Keys, LL Cool J,
Keri Hilson and more. Mary J. Blige closes out the festival on Sunday along with Trey Songz, Earth Wind & Fire and Jill

Dorothy Height and Lena Horne Die
Civil Rights pioneer and educator Dorothy Height passed away at the age of 98. Then a week later legendary
actress and singer Lena Horne died at the age of 92. Both women were influencial in their own rights and changed
the American Culture in their crafts for the better. Both will be remembered for being strong and beautiful pioneers.

Is American Idol Racist?
That is what it's starting to look like with African-American's
steadily booted out the top rounds in recent years. This year’s top 24 had a little of everything from Blacks,
Hispanic, Asians and we thought "Wow finally American Idol gets it". But after the first couple of rounds this season we see
that its back to business as usually with the talent show. Blacks, Asians and Hispanics were blasted out the top
24 faster than Bolt's 100-yard dash!
We don't understand this new thing that it's cool to be something
else and sing soul and it's hot but it's not "hot" Randy Jackson's word to be black and sing soul. What? Really Randy?
Come on dog? In Idols most boring season to date and the absolute worse talent yet, we are glad to see Simon Cowell leave.
We can only hope that the show's exit from the air is not far behind. Without the show's fearless leader the show has
no credibility. We love Ellen and she is refreshing but Randy and Kara we vote you two off the island.

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) Acquires
the hit movie "Precious"
The OWN network is already on the move and making deals before
its debut on cable television next year in 2011. The new network has acquired the television rights to the critically acclaimed
smash movie Precious from Lionsgate. Precious has ranked in over $45 million in North America and is up for six Academy Awards
at this Sunday's telecast.
OWN is a joint venture between Oprah Winfrey and Discovery Communications,
OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network is a multi-platform media company designed to entertain, inform and inspire people to live
their best lives. OWN will debut in January 2011 in approximately 80 million homes on what’s currently the Discovery
Health Channel.

Michael Jordan Becomes Majority Owner of the Charlotte
Hornets
Former NBA super star Michael Jordan who held stakes in the Hornets recently
became the majority owner. Robert L. Johnson the former majority owner signed an agreement to sell majority interest of Bobcats
Sports and Entertainment to Michael Jordan and MJ Basketball Holdings, LLC. The deal is subject to NBA approval.

Tiger Woods Comes Out to Apologize &
Clear Up Rumors
Golf Pro Tiger Woods ended his hiatus today for a press conference
at PGA Headquarters. Woods who has been spending time in a rehabilitation center since his admissions of infidelity appeared
today to apologize and clear up rumors. Woods was accompanied by his mother but his wife Elin did not appear with him.
In his prepared speech, Tiger asked his family and fans to forgive him. He went on to clear his wife Elin of any wrong
doing and clearly put the blame back on himself. He also spoke about his bad behavior and how he thought he was entitled to
indulge in temptation that his fame and money afforded him. In the end Woods wrapped up by saying that he knows that he disappointed
the many kids that looked up to him as a role model. He did state he would return to golf later this year but did not
know the date but right now would return to therapy.

Essence Announces It's Annual Black Women's Luncheon Honorees
Essence Magazine will hold its annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon
during Oscar Week on March 4th. This year’s luncheon will also celebrate the magazine's 40th Anniversary. This years
honorees include Queen Latifah, Zoe Saldana, Mary J. Blige and Gabourey Sidibe. Veteran & Academy Award nominated actress
